Our Poodles

It seems as though I have owned Standard Poodles forever and cannot imagine a day without the fun and inspiration they bring. I am a member of the Standard Poodle Club and am an accredited Pet Bereavement Counsellor for The Blue Cross/SCAS. For many years I campaigned with The Anti-Docking Alliance to end tail docking, and in April 2007 the law eventually changed to stop this unnecessary practice. Now all Standard Poodles in England will have the benefit of the full tails that they are born with.

My first Standard FOLLY (Special Edition at Waymaker) sadly passed away at 14 yrs of age. Her daughter JOSIE (Waymaker Nightime Ptarmigan) joined 'mum' in 2005. DAISY (Waymaker The Painted Lady)was Josies daughter and passed away in 2006 she hardly met the vet in her 13 years and remained a beautiful solid black throughout her whole life. She was affectionately known as the thief of the family!

Our cream girl MARCIE (March Dancer from Waymaker) was the most challenging Poodle we have owned! She was happy every moment of each day and a simple tennis ball remained her favourite toy. She took life at 100 miles an hour and ruled the pack – a true alpha dog! She was a fantastically intelligent Standard poodle who has left an enormous chasm in our lives.

DINO (Waymaker Quivara) - Daisy's son and my first apricot is a darling! Soft in nature and a real gentleman. He is getting on in years now, but looks and acts like a teenager. He loves fluffy toys and never chews them up!

BELLE (Ginmash Diet with Waymaker) continues to delight us with her sunny, easy going nature. She is a petite, blue girl, well proportioned and full of fun. She has the most wonderful gentle personality and is a treasure to own.

REX (Itzapromise Red Admiral at Waymaker) is our young apricot dog. His dad is the fabulous Champion Taladayga The Entertainer and he certainly seems to have inherited the good looks and beautiful colour. Very sweet natured and eager to please, he has joined our home with ease.

If we do not have our own puppies available when you contact us we may be able to offer contact details from close ‘Poodle friends’ who could have pups available. Because of this it is worth asking us about all sizes even though we only own STANDARD Poodles. Please call or email for details.
